📜 The Camino Frances: A Sacred Journey of Spirit & Sisterhood

🚶 Overview

The Camino Francés is the most iconic pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, and the final stretch from Sarria to Santiago spans approximately 115 km (71 miles) — just enough to earn your Compostela certificate.

This 6-day walk is perfect for first-time pilgrims and seasoned seekers alike, offering a powerful blend of nature, culture, and soul awakening.

🕰️ Origins

This path has carried the footprints of millions of pilgrims over the centuries. Dating back to the 9th century, the Camino Francés became the most travelled route in Europe, known as the Way of St. James.

Sarria marks the starting point for many modern pilgrims, as it sits just beyond the 100km threshold required to receive the Compostela.

But the path is far more than a credential—it’s a portal into something ancient, healing, and deeply personal.

🌍 Route Highlights:

  • Sarria – the official pilgrim gateway, rich in Camino spirit and soulful beginnings

  • Portomarín – a riverside village steeped in history, rebuilt stone by stone after flooding

  • Palas de Rei – a quiet stretch of forest paths, Romanesque churches, and peaceful charm

  • Melide – where ancient trails meet Galician tradition—don’t miss the famous pulpo (octopus)

  • Arzúa – rolling hills, local cheese, and the gentle rhythm of rural Galicia

  • Santiago de Compostela – your sacred arrival point, where the cathedral welcomes you with reverence and release

The Soulful Why

The Camino Frances is more than a physical path—it’s a mirror. A quiet companion. A sacred invitation to slow down, listen in, and begin again.

This retreat is for the woman who’s always been there for others…

But now hears a whisper: “It’s your turn.”

For the one craving stillness after the storm.

For the one ready to walk away from old stories and into her power.

For the one who wants to do something brave—just for her.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You don’t need to be a “walker.”

You just need the courage to take the first step.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

This is a soul-led journey held in sacred sisterhood.

Together, we walk gently—through forests, fields, and ancient towns—until we reach Santiago.

And more importantly…

We reach the part of you that always knew the way.

From Emma, Your Guide

I walked my first Camino when my life completely unraveled.

I was burnt out.

Grieving.

Searching for something I couldn’t quite name.

I didn’t know it at the time, but that journey would change everything.

There’s something about walking…

Something about the rhythm of your own feet…

The quiet of the mornings, the way the path holds you…

That brings you home to yourself.

Since then, I’ve walked eight Caminos across Spain.

Each one has cracked me open a little more.

Each one reminded me of who I am beneath the roles, the pressure, the expectations.

And now, it’s my honour to hold space for other women to experience that same awakening.

This isn’t just about arriving in Santiago.

It’s about the woman you become along the way.

If your heart is whispering “maybe…”

That might just be your soul saying “yes.”

I’ll be there with you, every step of the way.
