📜 The Camino Inglés: A Soulful Path with Heart & History

🚶 Overview

The Camino Inglés, or English Way, is a quieter pilgrimage route in Galicia, Spain, stretching approximately 119 km (74 miles) from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela—meeting the spiritual requirement of walking over 100 km to earn your Compostela certificate  .

🕰️ Origins

This path dates back to medieval times when pilgrims from Northern Europe—especially England, Ireland, Scotland, Scandinavia, and Flanders—arrived by sea and began their journey by foot to Santiago  . It was notably used during the Hundred Years’ War (1337–1453), offering a safer route than those through France  . In 1147, English, German and Flemish crusaders famously paused here before heading to the Holy Land  .

🌍 Route Highlights

  • Ferrol: a historic naval port and spiritual departure point

  • Pontedeume & Betanzos: charming medieval towns along coastal paths and rivers

  • Mesía/Bruma & Sigüeiro: inland villages where maritime and inland paths merge

  • Santiago de Compostela: the ultimate destination—the grand cathedral and Pilgrim’s Office await

The Soulful Why

The Camino Inglés is more than a physical path—it’s a mirror. A quiet companion. A sacred invitation to slow down, listen in, and begin again.

This retreat is for the woman who’s always been there for others…

But now hears a whisper: “It’s your turn.”

For the one craving stillness after the storm.

For the one ready to walk away from old stories and into her power.

For the one who wants to do something brave—just for her.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You don’t need to be a “walker.”

You just need the courage to take the first step.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

This is a soul-led journey held in sacred sisterhood.

Together, we walk gently—through forests, fields, and ancient towns—until we reach Santiago.

And more importantly…

We reach the part of you that always knew the way.

From Emma, Your Guide

I walked my first Camino when my life completely unraveled.

I was burnt out.

Grieving.

Searching for something I couldn’t quite name.

I didn’t know it at the time, but that journey would change everything.

There’s something about walking…

Something about the rhythm of your own feet…

The quiet of the mornings, the way the path holds you…

That brings you home to yourself.

Since then, I’ve walked eight Caminos across Spain.

Each one has cracked me open a little more.

Each one reminded me of who I am beneath the roles, the pressure, the expectations.

And now, it’s my honour to hold space for other women to experience that same awakening.

This isn’t just about arriving in Santiago.

It’s about the woman you become along the way.

If your heart is whispering “maybe…”

That might just be your soul saying “yes.”

I’ll be there with you, every step of the way.
